The Bits2Wave look, on an example deck
This is a student’s CIFAR-10 coursework deck in the Bits2Wave theme, which is why it has 10 pages. Your deck follows the template’s 6 slides, in its order, and is written from your own repo and notes.

A dark navy tiled page with a blue glow, the BMSIT banner and the Bits2Wave, IEEE AP-S and ComSoc logos across the top over BUILD.LAUNCH.BREAK.REPEAT, and white bold italic titles.
How it works
- 1Start from the button
The Bits2Wave template comes picked, with its slide order and its look. (Or start a deck, choose Slides and pick it under “Follow a template”.)
- 2Give it your material
The problem statement, your idea notes with the team details the cover asks for, and your repo or screenshots if you have them.
- 3Answer its questions
It asks for any cover detail your notes don’t have, and what it needs to know about the idea.
- 4Check it and submit the PDF
Fix a word on the page yourself or ask for changes, then download the PDF.
The round
- Idea round
- 10 November 2026
- What you submit
- One PDF or .pptx (up to 50 MB) of at most 6 slides in the official template; Open Innovation teams write “OI” as the problem statement code
A rebuild, not affiliated. devreport is not affiliated with Bits2Wave or BMS Institute of Technology and Management (BMSIT&M), Bangalore, with IEEE AP-S and ComSoc. The theme copies the layout of the organiser’s template file; the round’s rules decide what you may submit.
The 6 slides of the template
Pick the Bits2Wave template and the deck follows these, in this order, in the template’s look.
| Slide | What the template asks for | What to give devreport |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Problem Statement Title | The cover: the problem statement title, then Team Name, Team Leader Name and Problem Statement Code. | Your problem statement title and code, team name and team leader name, exactly as registered. Any you leave out stays a blank to fill in. |
| 2. Introduction | Briefly introduce your team and project: the team name, members, problem statement, track, and a one-line summary of your proposed idea. | Your team members, the track you picked, and a sentence on the idea. |
| 3. Problem Overview | The problem you are addressing, who is affected by it, the existing challenges, and why solving it is important. | The problem statement text and any notes or numbers on who it affects. |
| 4. Proposed Solution | Your proposed solution and how it addresses the problem: the key features, approach, and expected outcome. | Your idea notes, or the repo if you have started building. |
| 5. System Architecture | The technical workflow: the major components, system architecture, technologies, tools, and how the modules interact. | Your stack and how the parts connect; a repo or a rough diagram helps it draw the flow. |
| 6. Implementation & Impact | How you plan to implement it (development approach and major stages), and its expected impact, feasibility, scalability and benefits to users. | Your plan or milestones, and any numbers you have on who it helps. |
Questions
Is this the official Bits2Wave template?
It is a rebuild of the template BMS Institute of Technology and Management (BMSIT&M), Bangalore, with IEEE AP-S and ComSoc gives for the idea round: the same slides, in the same order, with its look. devreport is not affiliated with Bits2Wave or BMS Institute of Technology and Management (BMSIT&M), Bangalore, with IEEE AP-S and ComSoc, and the result is a PDF, not the template file itself.
Can I submit the devreport PDF?
The round asks for one PDF or .pptx (up to 50 MB) of at most 6 slides in the official template; Open Innovation teams write “OI” as the problem statement code. If your round wants the template file itself, copy the text, diagrams and charts into it. Check the organiser’s rules when in doubt.
We only have an idea, no code yet. Does it still work?
Yes. A repo is optional. Upload the problem statement, your notes on the idea and any data or screenshots, and it writes the slides from those. It won’t invent research, users or results you don’t give it.
Can I fix things myself before submitting?
Yes. Click any text on a slide to change it, move or resize charts and pictures, or ask for a change in plain words. Hand edits are free.
How long does it take?
Usually three to five minutes, a little longer for a big repo, plus the time you take to answer its questions.
What does it cost?
New accounts get 15 free credits. A deck costs 10 credits and each change you ask for afterwards costs 1; editing text on the page yourself and switching themes are free. A build that fails gives its credits back.
